PFAS Analysis
PFAS are highly resistant to degradation and are known to persist in the environment and the human body. These chemicals are suspected of causing serious health concerns, and regulatory limits on their concentration in water are set in the EU Drinking Water Regulations – SI 99 2023. From 11th January 2026 a limit for the maximum allowable concentration of PFAS compounds will apply to water intended for human consumption.
Fitz Scientific uses cutting-edge LCMSMS technology combined with in-house sample preparation methods to offer extremely low detection limits, with some compounds detected at levels as low as 1 part per trillion. This method provides precise and reliable analysis, helping water utilities, industry and environmental agencies monitor PFAS contamination in various water sources. Fitz Scientific is also advancing its application for full accreditation of this method.
The following list of PFAS compounds are tested by Fitz Scientific in line with the Drinking Water Regulations:

The sample kit contains a 30ml plastic bottle and instructions on how to take your drinking water sample properly. Once the sample is taken, post or deliver the bottles back to us on the same day.
A Certificate of Analysis will be sent to you with your water test results along with an information sheet on understanding your results.
